Anderson Water Park

In 2010 the City of Saginaw, Michigan decided to have a pavilion placed at the Anderson Water Park, located off Fordney Street in downtown Saginaw. The Anderson Water Park is a wonderful community area, that offers beautiful outdoor scenery, a picnic area, play equipment and a skating park.  The Park, which covers roughly 4 acres, also has several walking trails and a rock-climbing wall as part of the play space. The previous pavilion was very run down and in need of renovations.

Spicer Group came up with designs for foundation/footing, slab, stone pier and decorative cover design for the pavilion. They also worked on elevations, column details, site restoration, and more detailed specifics for the project and area.

The finished project was a 40’ octagon pavilion structure with a steel frame and cedar interior. It had a few picnic tables put in it and was built right on the edge of the water in the park.
