White Cloud Lagoon

In tandem with the pump station improvements, Spicer Group also addressed needed updates at the lagoon-style wastewater treatment facility in Newaygo County with the White Cloud Sherman Utilities Authority. The treatment plant, originally constructed in 1978, received new aerators to improve oxygenation and overall treatment performance. Repairs were made to the pump house serving the lagoons, enhancing functionality and long-term reliability. These upgrades, combined with the SCADA system, have modernized the lagoon operations and improved system-wide treatment capacity. To fund the project, Spicer Group assisted WCSUA in securing a $5.1 million low-interest loan through the USDA Rural Development program.
