I-196 BRIDGE OVER GRAND RIVER CONSTRUCTION LAYOUT

Spicer Group surveyors provided professional contractor construction staking services for the Michigan Department of Transportation and the Anlaan Corporation on the I-196 Westbound bridge improvement project over the Grand River in Grand Rapids. The project includes $21 million worth of pier widening, deck replacement, approach work, drainage improvements, and improved lighting for the 25-span bridge. Spicer Group surveyors are responsible for interpreting the construction plans, and marking the correct locations for new structures and improvements for the entirety of the project site, along with calculating earthwork volumes for the project.
