Bridges Practice Area
For several decades, Spicer Group has been evaluating and rehabilitating existing bridges and designing new ones. We have served as the prime consultant for a variety of bridge and road projects for state departments of transportation and local agency clients. Our recent projects include bridge rehabilitation and single and multiple span structures in concrete, steel and timber. Spicer engineers work closely with state permitting agencies, U.S. Army Corps. of Engineers, State Historic Preservation Office and local agencies to develop successful bridge designs, maintenance and restorations. We strive for early coordination and the understanding of project specifics to complete projects on time with minimal changes. Spicer Group has also been actively involved with bridge safety inspections and bridge scoping for structures of all sizes since the implementation of the National Bridge Inspection Standards in 1970.
