Project Assistant (Survey)

  • This position is for a full-time Project Assistant in our St. Johns office, working with and assisting the members of our Survey services group.

  • • Provide full-time assistance in an office setting, supporting project managers and support staff in the Survey service group

    • Works in a computerized environment requiring advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, PowerPoint presentations, and graphics

    • Performs varied duties including or comparable to:

    o Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, managing tasks efficiently

    o Uses MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat with speed and accuracy

    o Reviews materials prepared by group staff for proper language and grammar, and reviews for completeness and accuracy

    o Answers external phone calls and responds to client requests

    o Refers calls and visitors to appropriate staff

    o Skillfully manages daily departmental functions, such as coordinated schedules, staff trainings, and management of certifications and renewals

    o Processes documents according to pre-established guidelines

    o Establishes and maintains correspondence and data files

    o Prepares standard reports, spreadsheets, and charts

    o Prepares presentation materials to support department needs

    o Maintains recurring internal reports

    o Requisitions supplies, printing, or other services

    • May require travel on occasion throughout the state

    • Required to exercise initiative, judgement, and knowledge of company practices, policies, and organization

    • Maintains a close and highly responsive relationship with the supervisor and staff

    • Interact with clients and contractors in a kind and professional manner

  • • You have 5+ years of clerical/administrative experience in a professional office or related setting or equivalent combination of higher education/experience

    • You have proven proficiency in all related secretarial skills

    • You can demonstrate interpersonal, written, and organizational skills

    • You have the proven ability to work independently and under pressure

  • • High School / GED

 

Administrative Assistant (Applied Technologies)

  • This position is for a full-time Project Assistant in our Lansing area office, working with and assisting the members of our Applied Technologies group.

  • • Provide full-time assistance in an office setting, supporting project managers and support staff in the Applied Technologies service group

    • Works in a computerized environment requiring advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, PowerPoint presentations, and graphics

    • Performs varied duties including or comparable to:
    o Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, managing tasks efficiently
    o Uses MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat with speed and accuracy
    o Reviews materials prepared by group staff for proper language and grammar, and reviews for completeness and accuracy
    o Answers external phone calls and responds to client requests
    o Refers calls and visitors to appropriate staff
